University, Career Guidance & Work Experience
Our well-established career guidance and counselling program develops our students’ competence in self-knowledge, education and career planning.
Career Counselling
Students receive career counselling from Key Stage 4 upwards to enable them to make informed choices about their subjects according to their chosen future pathway.
Our expert leaders help all students on a one-to-one basis in the areas of academic achievement, personal development and career development, ensuring our students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.
University Support
During pastoral sessions, university support services are also provided to students from Year 10 upwards. Students visit university fairs in the UAE and are provided expert guidance in university applications across the world.
Work Experience
Students carry out work experience in Year 10 and Year 12. Students are free to choose work experience in companies that are of interest to them or to experience an industry that they might not have heard of before. Students are supported through their work experience with logs which allow them to collect evidence to use in their university applications and personal statements. Teachers and form tutors will visit students on their work placements and meet with employers.
