Student Leadership
Star International School, Mirdif, is committed to supporting our students in developing the skills and personal qualities that will enable them to be useful contributors to the world. Student leadership opportunities are embedded across all phases of our school.
Student Parliament
Starting in Early Years and Primary, our ‘Student Parliament’ consists of student representatives who are voted by their peers to represent the class. They meet monthly with our School Council teacher leaders, and individuals feed back their proposed actions and changes to our Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The School Council coordinates initiatives to improve our school and promote charity drives.
Secondary "Student Council"
Our Secondary prefect team is an organisation made up of students, supervised by our pastoral staff team. The aim is to give students the opportunity to further develop their leadership skills by organising and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to our community ethos.
Our Secondary prefect team is the voice of the secondary student body, sharing student ideas, interests and concerns with the school community. They are led by a Head Boy and Head Girl who work with the school SLT to contribute extensively to the wider life of the school.
